KNEE THROWS
Separation
The player sets up kneeling on the throwing hand leg. The glove foot is positioned towards the target and the leg is close to a 90 degree angle. The glove is positioned by the throwing ear with the arm flexed at 90 degress and the elbow is pointed towards the target. The ball is separated from the glove beyond the back shoulder with the fingertips pointing back and thumber underneath. The glove shoulder is beneath the chin.
Rotation
The body retains the starting set up. The glove elbow starts rotate down and to the side initiating upper body rotation. The throwing arm starts to rotate maintaining close to 90 degrees. The hand moves forward with the fingertips rotating underneath the ball and thumb rotating to the top.
Extension/Wrist Snap
The glove elbow continues to tuck to the side to continue the upper body rotation. The throwing arm is fully extended as the wrist snaps with the fingertips on top. At this point the throwing shoulder rotates past the glove shoulder.
The glove elbow continues to tuck to the side to continue the upper body rotation. The throwing arm rotates down and outside the front knee. At this point the throwing shoulder is close to facing the target.
Follow Through
The glove elbow is completely tucked to the side as the upper body rotation has been completed. The throwing arm rotates down and outside the front knee finishing at the glove hip. At this point the throwing shoulder is facing the target.
