Proper Form
The base runner is running to first base with her elbows tucked and arms pumping. Her eyes are on the base to set up her ryhthm of touching the front of the base.
Touching The Base
The base runner begins to touch the front of the base running at full speed. She is in an athletic balanced position preparing to run directly across the base prior to breaking down.
Breaking Down
The base runner starst to break down by taking choppy steps after running through the base. Her bottom starts to drop to help initiate the slow down process. As she starts to slow down, she looks across her right shoulder to look for a ball that has past the first baseman.
Approaching The Base
The base runner continues running to first base with her elbows tucked and arms pumping. Her eyes remain on the base to set up her ryhthm of touching the front of the base.
Running Through
The base runner continues running at full speed as she begins to cross the base. She is in an athletic balanced position prior to breaking down.
Break Down Finish
The base runner completes breaking down by finishing in a low balanced athletic position. She continues looking across her right shoulder for a ball that has past the first baseman.
