SLIDING

Start Of Slide

The base runner continues her slide in a low position. Her front leg remains flexed as her foot slides lightly across the dirt touching the front of the base. Her back leg reamins tucked under her bottom. Her weight stays back to keep force off her back knee and on her bottom. Her hands are off the ground.

Starting Pop Up

The base runner continues her slide by carrying momentum in to the base while pushing up with her back knee/leg. Her front leg flexes to a 90 degree angle in preparation for pushing her body up.
